If Fairway is the cabin, KC is the lodge you drove to get to. Our largest room, on Gregory Blvd between Brookside and Waldo — same green walls and antlers and vintage gear, considerably more space. Booths, big tables, couches you can sink into, and two different doors that drop you into two different moods.
This is the location built for staying a while. Bring a group. Bring a laptop and a morning's worth of work. Bring the kids on a lousy weather day — there are board games and hot cocoa, and nobody minds the noise.
The Lodge
Our customers named this one, not us. The bar at the back of the room has its own character — darker, warmer, more Breckenridge than Brookside — and it's where the evening happens. Full bar, local beer and spirits alongside the national names, and a booth back there is genuinely the best nook in the building for a conversation you don't want interrupted.
Mornings
There's a real 7am rush here, and it moves. Espresso, drip, matcha, pastries and breakfast — the biscuit sandwiches and the chorizo quiche are the two things people ask for by name. Get there early on weekends if you want your pick of the case.
What to order
The KC Caramel Delight has genuine devotees. The honey pistachio latte comes back seasonally and people track it. There's ice cream, which surprises everyone. And the large cold brew comes with a free refill, which is either a gift or a warning.
Room to work
Big tables, a mix of seating, and enough space that you're not on top of anybody. Outlets exist but they're not at every seat, so grab a spot along the wall if power matters.

The biggest room we have, and it changes character four times before closing.
The rush
It's real and it moves. Espresso, drip, matcha, and the biscuit sandwiches people ask for by name.

We're on Gregory Blvd, right where Brookside runs into Waldo, which means locals claim us for both neighborhoods and we're not inclined to settle it. Street parking out front is tight at peak times; the side streets are reliably fine.
